Malaysia Airlines Reservation System Will Be Offline on 10th – 11th June

In order to upgrade their passenger reservation system, Malaysia Airlines passengers will be unable to make new bookings or make changes to existing bookings for nine (9) hours from 9pm on 10th June 2017 to 9am on 11th June 2017 (Malaysian Standard Time, GMT+8). Additionally, you also won’t be able to use mobile or on-line check in during this time. Fortunately, flight schedules will not be affected by the transition.

Important things to remember

For passengers travelling from 10-12 June, you should purchase or make ticket changes before 10th June 2017. Also, bring a copy of your electronic tickets and make sure to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours ahead of your departure time to check-in at the counter. If you want to select seats or make special seat requests, please do so before 10th June 2017.

For passengers travelling from 12th June onwards, the Booking Reference number (or Passenger Name Record (PNR)) will be revised from five digits to six digits. Those who have existing bookings will be informed of their new booking reference via email. This change does not affect your travel itinerary, so don’t worry. If you want to self check-in via web or the Malaysia Airlines kiosk at the airport, make sure to use the 6-digit PNRT or eTicket number.
